Mann D. Trinh, O.D., F.A.A.O, known to his patients as “Dr. Tim,” earned his Bachelors of Science in Biochemistry at UCLA in 2003 and a Doctorate in Optometry at UC Berkeley in 2007, and went on to completedan additional year of residency in ocular disease at the Fresno Veterans Affairs Hospital. He is one of the few ODs to have taken and passed the board examination for Advanced Competency in Medical Optometry. Since he took over All EyeCare Optometry, Dr. Trinh has implemented state-of-the-art clinical training and technology to ensure that his patients receive the best care available.
Dr. Trinh received the California Optometric Association’s prestigious George Dean Leadership Award in 2007, and in 2010 he was appointed a Fellow at the American Academy of Optometry (FAAO), an honor bestowed upon only 10 percent of practicing optometrists. Dr. Trinh is one of the only board-certified optometrists in Ventura County.
Dr. Trinh believes strongly that a medical professional's responsibilities do not end at the office, and for this reason he volunteers his time to youth programs such as Newbury Park High School's annual Career Day. He occasionally invites high school students who are interested in optometry to shadow him and learn about the profession while working at his office. Several of these students have since graduated and are now pursuing optometry as a profession.
